There is more support on the sides, pushing the breasts up and midline, however this is where there is NO bra and therefore no support. When lying on my side in bed my breast starts to fall out lest I constatnly adjust my breasts. Forget wearing any breasts pads, they stick out the top and with all of the shifting around due to lack of coverage, ends up rubbing causing sore nipples. My husband loves this bra on me as it makes my breasts look much bigger than they actually are. I wouldn't buy this bra again for sleeping, it's uncomfortable than comfortable, and my breasts end up aching in the morning.
