(More customer reviews)When I first saw this dress, I thought it was for pre-teens and teens only. Looking further at the model, and size range, I realize this is an ADULT dress (!) Sadly, it is NOT the only adult dress which stops just above the knees. I guess I should be glad -- because all too many dresses today stop 3 - 4 inches above the knees. I can only think that too many clothing manufacturers are trying to save money by making such very short dresses! I don't THINK I'm a prude -- but it seems that 5-6 inches below the knee, (or more, for a long dress), is a more comfortable and elegant length for any woman's (or teen's!) dress to be. The length of this dress, (and far too many others), makes it look like a cheer-leading outfit!
But at least this dress has style! Tiny sleeves and a neckline that actually goes ALL AROUND the neck, make this dress look like a DRESS, and not a bustier! Pretty ruffles on top, and soft-flowing skirt lengh pleats, combine to make this attractive dress a real winner!
If only it were just a little longer. As the one joke I remember from "The Benny Hill Show" went: Q: Why is how a lady wears her dress like a delicatessen sandwhich? A: Because both are BELOW KNEE, (aka: balony!)
Longer, more lady-like dresses for all, please!
