(More customer reviews)I had a c-section and I wanted something to support my post partum belly. The band was of good quality and sturdy. Velcro was powerful. It is rubber/latex so I felt overheated wearing it. (I gave birth in July)
It was made in a straight cut, rather than a rounded, shapely cut which I felt did not fit me very well. It was kind of like fitting cardboard over an egg. I suppose the whole point of this item is to mold your body back into shape so it may be a necessary feature. I also didn't like how the extra flab on my belly was forced to be folded over my bikini line rather than encouraged to shrink by support. I may also have a long torso and had difficulty keeping the band around my middle and it kept wanting to ride up and over my chest.
I had no idea what size to order and I took a wild guess at it. When I tried it on 2 weeks post partum, it was too small (but I was too sore to wear anything anyway). Then I tried it on again 2 months post partum and the velcro closed without too much grunting. The velcro is pretty adjustable so I think I could have worn it for quite some time after that as my shape continued to change.
